Finding Salvation

I will never forget the day I was born again. I can remember like it
was yesterday, although it was twelve years ago. Salvation is really
simple.

First Step: I had to realize I had done wrong (sinned) against myself,
my fellow man, and God. But how does a person come to that conclusion
in a real way? God shows up at your door (heart) and reveals himself to you.
Without God pulling at your heart, there is no salvation. Salvation
comes to you and me, only when God is revealing himself to us. And
when that happens you will know you have sinned. You will feel that
conviction deep in your heart.

Second Step: Once God has revealed himself to you and you
acknowledge that you have sinned, your opportunity to receive that
free gift of salvation is at hand. Ask God to come into your heart
and forgive you for all that you have done. And He will, right then!
God is full of love and mercy and He desires to pour all He has into
you.

Third Step: Now ask God to put his Son Jesus into your heart. Why
would he need to put His Son into our heart? Because His Son is
perfect, Right and Holy. So when we have Jesus in our hearts, when
God looks at us He sees perfection in us from then on. See how easy
that is? I hope today if you do not know Jesus as your personal
Savior, you will ask God to reveal Himself to you, convict your
heart, so you can ask Jesus in.
